Actually, this is really immature.
I understand where Giz is coming from about how they're not the protectors of companies, blah blah blah. That's right.. press don't protect companies, and they also don't harm them. "Disrupting" is in the category of harming a company.
So.. it's okay then to turn of people's computers everytime they look at Giz? I mean.. they can just turn them back on, right?
Giz is trying to make a statement, but what they fail to do is show some goddamn respect. How in hell are their writers supposed to get into any more events if they make it public that they have no respect at all for these companies?

Fact: Verizon is not expecting LTE-capable hardware until mid-2011. There's no way Apple magically has an LTE phone ready to go while everyone else won't have one for 6 months.

Just give Apple & Stevie boy an award for the most tech headlines. Assure him ego boosting daily publicity to fill the insatiable need for attention, just like any 2 year old kid :)
But what a 2 year old kid. To be able to take Apple to be the 2nd. largest company in the world in just a few short years!
For my part as a consumer I like the App. store, if later that changes, I think public pressure will force Apple to reverse some of it's practises or watch trade dry up. :cool:

What is the status of Real's Harmony? It used to say that it would only work on certain firmware revisions, now it just says that it'll work. Weird. Of course that doesn't help iTunes, only the iPod.

There are already armed marshall on many flights in the US. WHen was the last time we had a shoot out in the sky? :rolleyes:
His point was remove the TSA security check and only have only armed air marshals. Bringing a gun to a bomb fight is like bringing a knife to a gun fight.
My point was that the TSA security does provide a buffer to keep terrorists from boarding a plane packed with explosives where an armed masrhal is going to be useless.
The world we once knew no longer exists, time to get used to it.

Does anyone out there know where Connect360 saves its log to?? I have the setting enabled for "Detailed Logging (Debug Mode)" turned on but I can't seem to find where it is located on my HD. This would really be helpful since I am not sitting at my laptop 24/7 waiting for this idiot to connect to my network.

IMO, until the ipad gets this, which is entirely possible, it will remain more of a toy than a tool, and all these commercials will be nothing but fodder for the haters.
there's nothing wrong with toys, and this is a nice one, but these lines about doctors, CEOs, etc., are just plain ridiculous.

The main problem with the "slider" idea is that it wasn't intuitive which selection was active (since we're so used to a depressed icon indicating selection). I like the concept of a slider; it reminds me of the old tile games. Perhaps a compromise would have been to have the selected item's text glow, as if a little LED were behind it. That would have made it really clear which item was active.

I'm really tee'd off now.
Have avoided all websites except this forum thread for the last 3 hours and haven't gone near my email neither, then some b'stard comes in and drops a fat giveaway URL without even obfuscating it and telling us its a spoiler.
I even managed to look at google finance to check the aapl share price without seeing any giveaway news articles.
I'm not going to look at any specs and hope there's another small surprise or two in the keynote.
Git's each and everyone who's posted the leak or commented on it thinking well someone else has already let the cat out of the bag.

I ordered the Hardened Edition for the 360 @ Best Buy for local store pickup.
I have quite a few reward zone points & a gift card or two, so it was a no brainer.
Turns out it was the only way to pre order special editions @ Best Buy, otherwise if you pre order in store you can only pre order the regular edition. Gamestop capped their pre orders for hardened editions, so it was the only way for me to 'guarantee' a copy of the hardened edition. Seems the hardened edition maybe the popular one.
Looking forward to playing CoD again, as I stopped shortly after the overly expensive map packs started getting released.

argh that makes it hard then. change BIOS settings? what on earth is wrong with your computers lol! they should just restart after a blackout (with correct settings of course) - then away it goes.
well with overclocking, if something goes wrong, to fix it, you've gotta go into the BIOS. it will restart as normal, but the problem will keep happening, and it'll keep crashing and restarting
you should disable HT - you would get more performance, which = more units! :D
(edit: as stated in the other folding thread - my rate has gone down to 13.9x folding speed with 4 core (whatever that means), before with 8threads it was ~16x. )
i have heard people disabling HT, but not many. i'll just stick to what works for me

Bingo, where are the options? This is the thing with the cache. Five bucks says people will be complaining about poor Location Services performance after the update.
5 bucks people will be complaining about something even if they THINK they are having worse performance while others will say they haven't been affected and others will say performance has improved.
In other words - it will be just like any other update/patch.
